KUNSTENPLATFORM PLAN B

Jolien Naeyaert

MEETING IN WANDERING

From her caravan, Jolien explored what it means to 'be somewhere', entering into a dialogue between herself and the landscape. What kind of relationship do you build with a temporary place of residence? And how does virtual space influence the (perception of) the real place you find yourself in? During her residency week, she collected audio fragments, drawings and maps while wandering around, from which she compiled a collage for the village.

Jolien observes, writes, photographs, films, moves, questions, draws... Fascinated by the way we experience, view and understand places, she explores new methods of orienting herself in time and space. To this end, she carries her research centre with her on wheels.
